Anyone who has taken the appropriate safety classes can use Makerspace machines without appointment. Machines are first-come, first-served. 

Baby & Me is perfect for our littlest library patrons and their caregivers! This story time features short songs and a story, followed by unstructured play and discovery time!

Drop off your gently used books with the Friends of the Library! Books will be accepted on the side of the library near the outdoor book drop.

Join Ms. Addy for this physical program that combines stories and yoga poses to help children learn about their bodies, develop movement skills, and improve their balance and coordination.

This story time includes interactive songs and stories and lots of fun!

Recommended for ages 2-5, all ages welcome!

Want to try out the Makerspace but don’t know where to start? Drop in on Thursdays to create a mini creation. Each month will feature a different small project that should 10 – 15 minutes to complete and are limited to one per patron. 

Join us the first Saturday of each month to share about the book you read for the previous month's OPLreads challenge prompt. Light refreshments will be served.

Bring your friends and design ghost costumes to don craft pumpkins. All supplies will be provided.

The Library Board is appointed by the City Council and typically meets every other month. All meetings begin at 6:00pm and are held in the Opelika Public Library. The meetings are open to the public and you are invited to attend.
