Individuals ages 18+ with IDD or memory related diagnoses and their caregivers are invited to join us the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month for an interactive library hour. Each week will feature different fun and engaging activities. 

Join us for a fun-for-all-ages afternoon! Elf will be shown as an interactive movie (prompts and supplies provided), then after the movie, stick around for Elf-themed crafts.

Come decorate Christmas cookies and drink hot chocolate while we watch Olaf's Frozen Adventure.

Learn how to use our 3D Printer and become safety certified to use the machine on your own. This class is required before you are able to make 3D Printer appointments or attend Open Make. 

The Library Board is appointed by the City Council and meets at the Opelika Public Library. The meetings are open to the public and you are invited to attend. 

This story time includes interactive songs and stories and lots of fun!

Recommended for ages 2-5, all ages welcome!

Learn how to use our Glowforge machine and become safety certified to use the machine on your own. This class is required before you are able to make Glowforge appointments or attend Open Make. 

Bring your favorite stories to life! Create scenes, buildings, or characters from different books with a variety of building and engineering materials!

For students in grades K-5

A time and place for those who love the fiber arts. You are welcome to come and crochet, knit, cross stitch, quilt, or whatever you fancy.

Bring your friends and compete to see who can build the best gingerbread house! 

This story time features calm and relaxing songs and stories perfect to set you up for a restful night of sleep.

All ages are welcome

Adults 18 and older are encouraged to join Opelika Public Library Staff for a Christmas movie night. (Families welcomed at their own discretion.) OPL Staff will have the popcorn and you should bring a comfy chair.
