Join us for the finale of the inaugural Opelika Book Festival with journalist and author, Rick Bragg!

Tickets will be available on October 2nd to OPL Library Card holder and October 4th to the general public. Tickets are free, but encouraged due to limited seating.

Below you will find event and parking information:
Event Details:
Event begins at 6:00, doors open at 5:00.We ask all ticketed guests to arrive early so that we can accommodate as many standby guests as possible. At 6:00, any unfilled seats will be released to the stand-by line. Seats in the Cooper Auditorium are first-come, first-served. There are no reserved seats for this event except for official use. A book signing will occur after the conclusion of the talk and will be located in the Special Programs Room inside the library.
Parking:

Additional parking for the event can be found behind the Southside Center for the Arts near O Grows Garden and at the Opelika Municipal Court located at 300 Martin Luther King Boulevard. Limited additional handicap spaces will be available on the side of the library near the Pavilion. Please note that all entrances to the library parking lot are on Glenn Street. The portion of the parking lot that touches Columbus Parkway is EXIT ONLY. If you are no longer able to attend the event, please email us at library@opelika-al.gov so that we are able to accommodate as much of our waitlist as possible.

Standby Seats:
We will be offering limited standby options on the night of the event. A standby line will be available to wait in, however seats are not guaranteed.

About the Author:
Rick Bragg is the author of twelve books, including the best-selling Ava’s Man and All Over but the Shoutin’. He writes a monthly column for Southern Living, teaches writing at the University of Alabama, and is also a regular contributor to Garden & Gun magazine. He lives in Alabama.
